* On The Wings of History: Volume 01 : FREE Addendum

We're pleased to be able to announce the immediate availability of a
FREE downloadable addendum for our recent book 'On The Wings of
History: Volume 1'.

The pdf file contains two additional double page spreads showcasing
two original World War One aircraft that were omitted from the first
print edition of the book. All you need to do is download the pdf using
the link below, print out the two pages in question, and slot them into
your copy of the book, for a completely 100% accurate history of The
Vintage Aviator Collection from 2000 to late 2009.

* Facebook Pages - Motorsport Update

Our recent experiments with Facebook have confirmed that it's a good way to stay in touch with many people all at once, and is also a great place to share information and photographs.

Because we also take photographs of some motorsport activities we decided to split hose photos out into a second, 'sister' facebook page. So, if you're interested in old cars as well as old planes, checkout the HAFU Motorsport page at:

http://www.facebook.com/HAFU.Motorsport

As we've mentioned before, if you're in the 30 years plus age bracket and
you're feeling a little nervous about using Facebook, don't worry -- you
can still use the link above without having to create an account. Simply open the link above in your favourite browser, and then when the page has opened make a bookmark so you can easily view the page again whenever you wish.

* New 1/144th scale WW1 Aircraft Minatures

Those of you who enoy a little table top gaming from time to time using the brilliant Wings of War First World War dogfighting system:

http://www.aviationfilm.com/shop/games/index.shtml

will be pleased to know that the fourth series of 1/144 scale miniatures for the game have now been released. The new series features the Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5a, the Pfalz D.III, Breguet BR 14 and the Rumpler C.IV (all in three different colour schemes).

Gamers in North America have noted that stocks have arrived locally and it is expected that the miniatures will be soon available in your usual stockists in Europe and Australasia as well. New Zealand residents can pre-order here:

* EVENT: Wings Over Wairarapa - 21st-23rd January 2011

The first major New Zealand airshow of 2011 will be the biennial
Trust House Wings Over Wairarapa 2011 which will take place at Hood
Aerodrome in Masterton on Friday 21 to Sunday 23 January 2011.

Celebrating not only the aircraft but the men and women that
have shaped the history of aviation, the 2011 show will be a
tribute show that should not be missed.

Widely regarded as one of Australasia’s largest and fastest growing
airshows, Wings Over Wairarapa rivals any show for display content
and reputation and is now a significant event on the Australasian
